TICKET TO OZ - Questions

In order to qualify for this award the following must be submitted to the judges by 31st March 2010

The project

Entrants should write an outline, in no more than 200 words, on a project of their choice to be carried out in Australia. On return to the UK reports will be presented in person at a meeting of the Bristol Commonwealth Society which will also be attended by members of the West Country Branch of the Britain-Australia Society. The date for this will be agreed by all concerned.

The question

In no more than 1000 words explain either:

Why is the Australia-Britain relationship still important to the World?

Or

How did Capt, later Admiral Arthur Phillip’s previous experiences prepare him for the challenges he faced as the first Governor of New South Wales?

The 1000 word document should be presented on A4 plain sheets, typed in double spacing (12 point Times Roman)
